Precision Fire Apparatus built this rear-mount pumper for Antonia (MO) Fire Department on a Spartan Metro Star chassis and cab with seating for five firefighters, powered by a Cummins 450-horsepower (hp) diesel engine, and an Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission. (All photos courtesy of Precision Fire Apparatus.)
The rear-mount pumper built by Precision has its pump panel on the curb side of the vehicle in the rear-most compartment.
Discharges and intakes are visible at the vehicle's rear, as is the hose bed that holds 1,000 feet of 5-inch LDH (large diameter hose), and 500 feet of 3-inch hose dead load connected to a Task Force Tips Blitzfire nozzle.
The Antonia pumper shows its hard hosebed cover in the open position.
The cab of the Antonia pumper is set up to carry five firefighters, with the two forward facing seats against the back wall shown here.
Antonia's rear mount pumper is set up so the officer's side is devoted to fire suppression equipment, while the driver's side carries Holmatro rescue tools, rescue struts, air bags, ropes, and other rescue equipment.
