Engine 4 began service with the McKinney (TX) Fire Department on November 16, 2015. The cab (12 inch raised roof) is a Quest Gen II (long) model.
The warning lights include a Whelen Freedom 72-inch light bar (Model FN72QLED). Whelen M6 Super LED lights (both 600 and 500 Series) adorn the perimeter of the cab and body. Two Whelen Model L31 beacons and Whelen Model B6LED lights are mounted on the rear corners of the body.
Dual 1¾-inch jump lines with 250 feet of hose (one with 100 feet and one with 150 feet of hose) are located in the front bumper tray.
Cab seating for four is provided along with an equipment cabinet installed at the upper vista of the cab.
Both cab and body are constructed of 3/16-inch extruded aluminum, and hinged compartment doors are part of the body package, along with painted roll-up doors for the center body compartments.
The apparatus has a Hale QMAX 2,000-gpm, single-stage pump (midship) and a UPF Poly III 500-gallon “L” shaped tank.
The low hosebed carries 1,000 feet of 5-inch LDH hose and 600 feet of 3 inch hose. There is 100 feet of 3-inch hose preconnected to the right rear discharge.
Ground ladders (24-foot, two-section; 14-foot roof; and 10-foot attic) and pike poles are stored in compartments on the upper right rear of the body.
Cab-mounted scene lighting is provided by Whelen Pioneer Plus PFP2 LED lights mounted on the brow and above the crew doors. Pioneer Plus PCP3 LED pedestal mounted lights are mounted on the front and rear body corners. Pioneer Plus PFP2 telescoping lights are mount on each side of the cab rear.
A Hannay booster reel with 100 feet of 1-inch line is mounted in the dunnage pan on the right side. An Akron deck gun is mounted adjacent to the booster reel.
Spare SCBA bottle storage is located adjacent to the rear crew doors on each side.
