IN THE NEWS: Syntex Starts Plant Expansion

Syntex Industries, maker of portable water tanks, hose bed and crosslay covers, salvage covers and SCBA mats, broke ground on an expansion this fall that will add more than 5,000 square feet to the plant in Humboldt, Iowa. Once completed, the building will be over 16,000 square feet.

Sales increases have made the 5,300 square foot expansion necessary, says the company. The expansion will give the company more space for research and development on new products, and allow more production machinery, which will reduce manufacturing lead times.
