A fire department tanker truck was involved in a crash in York County while responding to a fire.
York County police said a fire department tanker truck was running its emergency lights heading to a call and that call ended abruptly after a collision with a pickup truck coming from the opposite direction.
Police report the pickup lost control and ended up in the path of the tanker, which was loaded with an estimated 2000 gallons of water.
The pickup took the brunt of the damage and the driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries.
Most of the damage sustained to the pickup truck was because the fire truck did not move.
Police said the speed of the pickup may have been a factor in the crash.
