The Woodway (TX) Public Safety Department has donated a 1995 E-One fire truck to the McLennan Community College (MCC) Foundation for use at its fire protection technology program, reports wacotrib.com.

The truck has a 1,250-gallon-per-minute single-stage Hale pump and midship-mounted pump panel, and it’s valued at $25,000.

Officials say the Woodway Public Safety Department had been looking for a new home for the apparatus since buying a new one in May 2020. They add that for the last 10 years the program had been using a truck donated by the Waco Fire Department.

In exchange for the truck, MCC waived fees for 10 of Woodway’s students who will come through the academy.
