High winds blowing near Inyokern on Friday knocked a tractor-trailer onto a Kern County fire engine that was responding to another tractor-trailer that had been blown onto its side.
The Kern County Fire Department said the incident happened at about 1 p.m. along Highway 395 just north of the junction with Highway 14. Minor injuries were reported.
The engine responded at about 12:40 p.m. to the first downed truck, according to a department news release. It said the California Highway Patrol was limiting the speed of traffic through the area when a gust blew over the second truck.
