Green Lake Common Council and the Brooklyn Town Board (WI) have both given the official nod after months of review and several episodes of political in-fighting to purchase a pumper fire truck.
The W.S. Darley Co. pumper fire truck includes a 1,000-gallon water tank and a compressed air foam system.
The cost of the truck is $445,611, which will be split between the city and town.
Brooklyn Town Supervisor Sydney Rouse emphasized she was opposed to the process, not the purchase, asking why the decision was coming to the board for ratification after the contract was already signed.
