A Pennsylvania fire chief was criticized by officials for having a fire truck deliver his son to his high school prom.
The West Newton Borough Council voted unanimously to send a letter to the borough fire department expressing “displeasure” with Chief Craig Sanner’s decision to have a fire truck act “as a prom limousine” and deliver his son, Dustin, to the April 26 Yough High School prom.
Sanner said the fire truck was never “out of service” while giving a ride to his son and the boy’s date. He said the truck did not leave the area where it responds to calls.
