Wellsville (OH) Council Orders Two Fire Apparatus

Council members approved the ordinance for two fire trucks, reports Morning Journal.

The $1 million purchase of two new trucks, one each of a 2020 E-One 75-foot ladder truck ($798,740) and the other a 2020 E-One VM8 pumper ($225,000) from Advantech Service ad Parts out of Midvale, Ohio.

Council members approved the ordinance, which is using some of the revenue generated by a fire levy that was recently renewed to replace their outdated equipment. Voters renewed the five-year, seven-mill fire levy, which generates $179,000 annually.

The village will pay $1,052,740 over 15 years to lease the equipment at a 3.17 percent interest with annual payments.
