Weatherford (TX) Donates Fire Apparatus to High School Program

The Weatherford Fire Department is donating a retired truck to a high school program, reports Weatherford Democrat.

The fire department posted on Facebook, “It was our pleasure to be able to donate Unit 6214, Engine 2 to Weatherford ISD Career & Technical Education with Weatherford ISD! The donation was approved at our City Council earlier this week.”

WISD Director of CTE Kady Donaghey said the donation will bring real-life experience to the class room.

The fire truck was purchased in 2001 for $208,887.86.
