Voting Results on Fire Service for Ohio Townships Vary

Salem Twp. (OH) voters narrowly approved an additional 3-mill levy for fire and Emergency Medical Services, but similar levies did not fare well in other local townships.

In Harrison Twp., voters rejected a replacement and increase of 2 mills for fire protection. In Jackson Twp., voters rejected separate levies for EMS service and maintaining fire apparatus. In Union Twp., voters narrowly rejected a 4-mill replacement and increase for fire protection.

Voters in Mechanicsburg rejected a new 3-mill levy for roads, but approved a 4-mill renewal levy for maintaining fire services.
