Vintage Fire Truck Used for Special Purpose

A 1954 Mack-L fire truck will return to a special place of service due to The Last Alarm Foundation, six years of restoration effort, hundreds of hours of volunteer labor, and donations of over $300,000, according to a report from KOLD News in Tucson, Arizona

The report indicates that vintage fire apparatus will be used to transport fallen Tucson firefighters firefighters to their final resting place and will give these heroes their ‘last alarm’ call. The vintage Mack-L fire truck features a custom built casket lift system that can raise a firefighter safely above the hosebed for display during the traditional funeral procession.
