Village of Hartland Seeks Fire Apparatus

Interim Fire Chief Dave Dean said he will ask the board to consider allocating funds toward the purchase of a new fire truck with a 100-foot ladder and a pumper.

“We currently have this planned for 2020, but I would like it moved up to 2017,” Dean said. “It takes a year for a (new truck) to be built, so we would have to look at this next year.”

Cox and Dean said the village would likely need to borrow funds to purchase the new fire truck next year. They said there are a series of discounts possible to defray the cost for the new vehicle, which has been set at just under $1 million.
