Village of Antwerp (OH) Takes Delivery of Fire Apparatus

Voters from the Village of Antwerp approved the levy to purchase a new fire truck. The equipment was ordered shortly after the election last year and the village took delivery of the new vehicle on Tuesday.

Fire Chief Ray Friend explained, “Our old truck is getting up in age and is a concern of not meeting the new standards and requirements that are put upon departments like ours.” After 15 years, a truck is required to be put in reserve, and after 25, it is not supposed to be used anymore for the original purpose.

The truck was purchased from Finley Fire Equipment, represented by Richard Brown.
