Vernon Township (IN) FD to Purchase New Sutphen Quint

The Vernon Township Fire Department is moving forward with the purchase of a new 100-foot ladder-quint by Sutphen Corporation, greenfieldreporter.com reported.

A fire official presented the plan for a new ladder truck along with the department’s proposed 2025 budget to the Fortville Town Council at its Monday night meeting, the report said.

Fire Chief Mark Elder made the following Facebook post recently:

“Last night Trustee/Territory Board Member Florence May accompanied by Fortville Town Council President/Territory Board Member Tonya Davis, Township Board Members, Tim Plank, Marybeth Sears and David Hawkins, and members of the Vernon Township Fire Department signed a contract with Sutphen Corporation to have manufactured a 100-foot ladder/quint apparatus to serve the citizens and businesses of Vernon Township. I would like to thank our elected officials, including Territory Member/McCordsville Town Council President Greg Brewer who was unable to attend last night due to coaching responsibilities for their leadership and support.”
