Ventura County (CA) Celebrates Groundbreaking of New Fire Station

The Ventura County Fire Department is breaking ground on a new fire station. After more than 50 years in the making, the Ventura County Fire Department celebrated the new station’s official groundbreaking Monday afternoon.

The 11,000 square-foot station will be at 751 Mitchell Road. The $5.5 million station will replace a more than 50-year-old firehouse that no longer meets state requirements.

The Ventura County Fire Department expects it to be completed in the summer of 2017.
