Van Crashes into Isle of Capri (FL) Fire Apparatus

One person was injured when her vehicle crashed into a fire truck that was responding to a rollover. The extent of her injuries is unknown.

The initial call came in at 2:23 p.m. for a rollover crash. Engine 91 from the Isle of Capri was responding to the crash in the eastbound lanes of Tamiami Trail, with its lights and sirens on. As the truck pulled over into the inside lane of the westbound lanes to help, the driver of a van cut into the lane and crashed into the fire truck.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating and charges are pending.
