Union Township (MI) Buys Fire Apparatus

Union Township will pay $263,019 for a fire truck that will likely be delivered in August or September, reports The Daily Reporter.

The unit will replace its 34-year-old pumper tanker which will become a back up unit. The fire department will get rid of its two and a half ton army surplus tanker truck.

The purchase will mean all the county volunteer departments, except Sherwood, will have replaced trucks in the last year.
