Unilite Zoom Light Meets Demanding Firefighter Needs

UK International’s Unilite Zoom light offers first responders and fire and rescue personnel the advantages of a lamp head with a 360 degree swivel and high and low beams to preserve battery power.

Continuing in its tradition of developing innovative products, UK International, also known as Underwater Kinetics, has announced the release of its new Unilite Zoom. According to the maker, it’s one of the most flexible and powerful work lights ever created.

An ideal flashlight for confined space workers, municipal workers, firefighters, safety inspectors, and telecommunication, utility, and installation professionals, the Unilite Zoom has a 360-degree rotating lamp head allowing users to focus the light exactly where it is needed.

A sturdy unbreakable nylon clip is included, allowing the Unilite Zoom to be attached to a coat pocket, safety strap, or belt.

The Unilite Zoom’s high-intensity LED projects a long-lasting, bright beam at half the size and weight of 3C LED lights, says the maker. A twist of the bezel allows users to switch between an intense narrow beam and a broad illuminating beam.

UK’s patent-pending Projection Optical System, the technological breakthrough behind the Unilite Zoom, uses a dual lens bezel instead of reflectors to produce a smooth beam of light closely mimicking daylight.

Unilite Zoom has a life 100 times greater than conventional xenon flashlights and is brighter than a cluster of seven LEDs. By clicking the switch rapidly, users can switch between full power to the LED and less power for extending the burn time.

Unilite Zoom’s two-watt LED lasts for thousands of hours and maintains constant brightness for over 80 percent of the battery life saving considerable money by minimizing the replacement of batteries and the lamp.

Unlike conventional lights, the solid state LED will not break when dropped.

The light is also waterproof to 10 feet, is made of non-corroding ABS and polycarbonate plastic and is electrically non-conductive.

A rubber sheath molded over the bezel reduces glare and improves impact resistance -passing the six-foot drop-to-concrete test.

A hydrogen scrubber catalyst, polarized battery contacts, and 0-psi vent minimize the risk of an explosion from leaking batteries. It is UL certified for use in hazardous locations.

The Unilite Zoom also has a new, easy loading drop-in battery compartment for quick reloading of batteries.

“The Unilite Zoom has all the features making it a tremendous work light,” said Walter Kaihatu, president of UK International. “With its flexibility, powerful beam, rotating lamp head, and zoom features, it meets the needs of the most demanding users.”

The Unilite Zoom light can be purchased through authorized UK dealers.
