Two Fort Pierce (FL) Fire Apparatus Shot with Bullets

Police in Fort Pierce are investigating after two fire trucks were found with bullet holes.

A fire engine and a rescue truck from Station 15 had responded to a call in the 3100 block of Avenue E, and while the crew was inside the home where the call originated, they heard gunfire.

Several police units responded to the call but no one found anything. No one was injured.

The fire crew didn’t find the bullet holes in their trucks until they returned to the station.

Investigators said they do not believe the firefighters were targeted, but added that the incident is serious and they are investigating.
