Two Flee After Crash with Jersey City (NJ) Fire Apparatus

The occupants of a car involved in a crash with a Jersey City fire truck jumped out, took the license plates off their vehicle and fled on foot this morning, witnesses at the scene said.

The accident occurred at 10:47 a.m. at the corner of Kennedy Boulevard and Audubon Avenue in Jersey City, said Joe Shine, a freelance photographer for The Jersey Journal who talked to witnesses.

No injuries were reported, but at least one firefighter was brought to the Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health to be examined. Officials at the scene said that is normal protocol.
