Two Die After Van Collides with Oklahoma Fire Truck

Two people die after the van they were traveling in was hit by a fire truck, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

An eastbound Olive Fire Department fire truck on its way to a grass fire attempted to pass the van. As the fire truck was passing, the van slowed down and attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway. The fire truck hit the van broadside.

Janey Wellington, 68, and Tony Lee Hammock, 72, both of Drumright, died at the scene.
