Two Daly City (CA) Firefighters Injured in Accident

A fire truck and a fire engine responding to a call were involved in a traffic collision in Daly City that sent two firefighters to the hospital with injuries, a fire inspector said.

Truck No. 95 and Engine 92 were both going code three at the intersection. Both vehicles suffered significant damage.

The two firefighters were taken to the hospital after both lost consciousness after the crash. Fire Capt. Mike Chavez is listed in fair condition and Engine Operator Chris Baldwin is in serious condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
