Seattle, WA—True North, a manufacturer of bags, backpacks, and fire resistant clothing, is pleased to announce the 2012 FDIC Scholarship. The scholarships will allow two firefighters to attend classes and hands-on-training (H.O.T.) at FDIC (Fire Department Instructors Conference) 2012 in Indianapolis on April 16-21.
In these especially difficult times with budgets being cut to the bone, it’s critical that firefighters continue to get the training to stay safe and ensure the safety of others. In that spirit, True North is offering its 2012 FDIC Scholarship, which will be awarded to two firefighters who demonstrate the best qualities of the fire service. The scholarship will include up to 16 hours of H.O.T evolutions and/or workshops, classroom training, and general sessions and exhibits. It will also include a five night hotel stay in downtown Indianapolis at the Sheraton City Centre Hotel.
