Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue donated a surplus fire engine to a fire department in California, reports KOLO 8.
The fire department posted to Facebook, “TMFR has donated a fully stocked Fire Engine to Indian Valley Fire & Rescue which provides oversight for the fire stations in Greenville, Taylorsville, North Am, and Genesee, California – all of which have been impacted by the devastating #DixieFire. On Aug 4, the fire station and all fire suppression equipment was destroyed in the fire. TMFR Fire Chief Moore along with Chief Officers were on hand to present the Engine to Indian Valley Fire Chief Bob Orange following the Board of Fire Commissioners’ approval on Tuesday.”
The 1994 Navistar fire engine is fully stocked with hoses, extrication tools, fans, ladder and generator along with EMS supplies.
