Three Rivers (MI) Approves Fire Apparatus Budget Adjustment

The Three Rivers (MI) city commission approved a capital budget amendment of nearly $30,000 for its next fire truck purchase.

The Fire Department had already budgeted for a new pumper, as its 1995 Spencer pumper is three years overdue for reserve status, and the 1985 Pierce is reaching a service life of 30 years. They had requested an allocation for a pumper of $380,000.

Since then, the city signed a fire protection agreement with Lockport Township, for which it will need a pumper/tanker.
