Three NC Firefighters Injured in Fire Apparatus Rollover

Three firefighters with the Pinecroft Sedgefield (NC) Fire Department were injured when their fire apparatus overturned.

The rig was responding to an emergency call when a car cut in front of the fire apparatus and hit the brakes. The apparatus opeator had to hit the brakes to avoide colliding, and it traveled off the side of the ramp, rolling several times down a hill before coming to rest.

The three injured firefighters were transported by EMS to the hospital with injuries ranging from broken bones to scrapes and bruises.
