A 15-year-old girl faces charges after allegedly stealing a truck belonging to the Fort Fairfield fire chief, reports The County.

The truck was taken from the department’s parking lot and then the teen crashed it. Police said the truck was running so that it could warm up when the teen allegedly entered it and drove away from the station, striking another fire department vehicle.

The police department posted to Facebook, “The juvenile then drove north on Route 1A before crashing Chief Browning’s pick-up truck. Both vehicles sustained about $7,000 in damages. The juvenile is facing charges of theft by unauthorized use, operating under the influence, operating without a license, driving to endanger, leaving the scene of an accident, and aggravated criminal mischief. The juvenile was transported by Fort Fairfield Fire Rescue Ambulance and treated at Northern Light A.R. Gould hospital. She was released to the care of her grandmother. The juvenile has a January court date.”
