HOLDEN, LA – Some real Louisiana spice has been added to this year’s Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ferrara Fire Apparatus announced that Troy and Jacob Landry, stars of the TV show “Swamp People,” will be in the Ferrara booth at this year’s Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC).
The Landry’s have become international celebrities since first appearing on television two years ago. Their tie-in with Ferrara is a natural, given they all are from Louisiana. In fact, Troy and Jacob’s hometown of Pierre Part, Louisiana is protected with Ferrara firefighting vehicles. Troy and Jacob will be in Ferrara’s booth 1837 on Thursday and Friday, April 19 and 20, to sign autographs. They will appear Thursday between 2:00 and 6:00 pm and Friday between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
On the business side of their FDIC exhibit, Ferrara will be displaying several new apparatus. Among them will be an FDNY 100′ rear mount aerial ladder, one of 54 currently slated for service in America’s largest city. Also in Ferrara’s booth will be a concept rescue pumper with compact Hale midship pump, rated at 2,000 gpm, equipped with new technology. In all, there will be six Ferrara trucks in the exhibit, representing an excellent cross section of their entire product line.
