Sutphen to Highlight Custom Fire Appratus Capabilities and Celebrate 125th Anniversary at FDIC International 2015

By Chris Mc Loone

FDIC International 2015 coincides with Sutphen Corporation’s 125th anniversary. As such, the company will focus on this milestone in addition to showcasing the company’s current custom apparatus capabilities. “We will have five new units on display ranging from our custom heavy-duty pumpers, our unique single-axle aerial line, and of course our ever-popular SPH 100 aerial platform,” says Alissa McGlone, marketing and trade show manager. “Another great addition to our booth this year will be the focus on our 125th Anniversary. We are very proud of this milestone, and our display will reflect that with historical information as well as a hand pumper sold to Dearborn, Michigan, by C.H. Sutphen in 1907.

Regarding the show floor in general, McGlone says, “The exhibit floor is something you don’t want to miss when you attend FDIC International. Attendees have access to the industry’s premier manufacturers of equipment—large and small. The industry’s best and most innovative products are on display. This is definitely the place to be if you are looking to spec or buy equipment.”

Additionally, the show’s international reach is important to Sutphen. “Over the last few years, I have seen the attendee population become much more diverse,” adds McGlone. “The added international aspect of the show will certainly expand our reach and lead to even more diversification in the future.”

McGlone also acknowledges the importance of FDIC International in its entirety—not just the exhibit floor. “FDIC International is truly an event centered on the advancement of the industry and the firefighter. When you combine the best in education and training, exposure to industry and equipment innovation, along with community- and team-building events, it’s just something that you can’t help but want to be a part of,” she concludes.

Sutphen is located at booths 3225 and 3632.
