Summit (CO) Displays Antique Fire Apparatus

A 1942 Sterling fire engine is now displayed in front of the Summit Fire and EMS Administration Building in Frisco, reports Summit Daily.

The engine was retired in the 1980s and was inherited by the Summit Historical Society. The truck has been serving primarily as a parade vehicle.

The Historical Society decided to sell the engine to Summit Fire for $1. Summit Fire continued restoration work on the vehicle.
