Streamlight Night Vision Night Com

Streamlight has a new flashlight called the Night Com, designed to preserve and optimize night vision.

The Night Com features aluminum construction and offers three lighting modes: a high-power white C4 LED, two low-power red LEDs and a red night vision indicator LED.

The white C4 LED provides two to three times the output of super high-flux LEDs, according to Ray Sharrah, Streamlight’s chief operating officer. The two Nichia red LEDs operate when night vision preservation is not needed. The unit’s red night vision-protection indicator LED meets or exceeds MIL-1472D requirements, Sharrah said.

A safety-mode feature ensures the light cannot be turned on by mistake. The unit includes a tailcap switch for an on/off power signal. The flashlight comes with a limited lifetime warranty and has a suggested retail price of $70.
