Spring Fire Department and Cypress Creek EMS has embarked on the construction of a joint emergency services facility in Springwoods Village. Located at 22306 Springwoods Village Parkway, the Spring Fire Station No. 79 will occupy 19, 569 square feet and include five apparatus bays, living quarters, a training/conference room, work rooms, a decontamination room, turn-out gear room and a physical wellness area.
The Cypress Creek EMS 513 facility, located at 22310 Springwood Village Parkway, will occupy 4,794 square feet and feature two double-deep ambulance bays, living quarters, a work room and storage areas. The facility is expected to be completed in September 2015.
“Station 79 will be the ninth strategically placed fire station in the rapidly growing Spring community and the fourth new fire station added since 2007,” said Fire Chief Eric Anderson with Spring Volunteer Fire Department. “The new station will house vital equipment and personnel, paid and volunteer, needed to protect those that work, visit or live within the Springwoods Village community and surrounding areas.”
Joiner Architects designed the state-of-the-art facility to comply with high sustainable design standards set by Springwoods Village and will achieve the LEED Gold Facility designation when completed. Also involved in the project are DBR Engineering Consultants, Matrix Structural Engineers and Jones & Carter.
