Springfield Township (OH) Donates Fire Apparatus

Students in Clark State Community College’s fire training program will have a new fire truck to work with thanks to a donation from the Springfield Township Fire Department.

The township’s donation will allow the college to retire an older model with more than 260,000 miles on it in exchange for one with only 36,000 miles.

In return for the donation, the Springfield Township Fire Department will receive 15 scholarships which will allow firefighters to continue their education.

Clark State has trained 270 firefighters as part of the fire program in the past year.
