Spartan Chassis Creates 24K Air-Ride IFS

Spartan Chassis, working with Reyco Granning Suspensions, created a new 24K Independent Front Suspension for fire trucks to combine improved vehicle control with high axle capacity.

The system is the only 24K Air-Ride IFS in the emergency rescue market, according to Spartan. It can be applied to the Spartan Gladiator and Metro Star cab/chassis units.

The system provides improved vehicle stability and serviceability along with better load leveling for consistent ride quality, the company said. The newest 24K rounds out Spartan’s IFS offerings of 18K, 20K and 22K for heavy-duty emergency rescue vehicles.

Spartan introduced Air-Ride IFS to the market in 2005.
