Two people were injured when their car crashed into a South Scott County (TN) fire truck heading to a call.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Mountain View Road at Old Highway 27 in Robbins. The car t-boned the fire truck, which was from the South Scott Volunteer Fire Department.
According to a spokesman for the fire department the intersection has poor visibility.
The woman driving the car and her adult son, who was a passenger in the car, were transported to UT Medical Center.
THP says the woman is in stable condition and the man was treated and released on Thursday.
There were no reported injuries in the fire truck. The firefighters were responding to a call for help from a wrecker driver who was hauling a car that caught fire when the accident happened.
According to the fire department, the truck suffered a bent bumper and they intend to have it evaluated before returning it to the road.
