SNYDER, NE—Smeal Fire Apparatus Co. announced that Kolaja Fire Equipment and Sales has been named the authorized sales and service dealer for Smeal® brand fire apparatus for Western Pennsylvania and Western New York. This is the third dealer Smeal has added in 2014 to expand its North American distribution network.
Lynn Kolaja Fire Equipment Sales was founded in 1978. Mr. Kolaja, a veteran firefighter, started as the owner and sole employee.
They have grown steadily in its thirty-six years of operation specializing in ambulances, supplies and fire equipment. Kolaja Fire Equipment has been an exclusive distributor for Horton Emergency Vehicles since 1982.
The company’s growth permitted a move to a new 7,500 sq. ft. expanded sales & service facility in 1988. The company became incorporated in 1989 and currently has six full-time and two part-time employees.
Kolaja Fire Equipment‘s complete service area provides routine maintenance and care for your emergency vehicle. Their services include PA State Inspection, full pump testing and their metal fabrication and welding allow for complete re-chassis and major repairs. Their team of Hale and EVT certified technicians is available 24 hours a day.
