Sioux City Fire Rescue has replaced five old vehicles with three new fire engines that can fulfill a variety of roles.
The purchase is part of a program called Flex Fleet, which aims to make it easier for fire crews to respond to different situations with fewer trucks.
The three new engines replace three engines that were bought in 1990, as well as an old tanker truck and a HAZMAT truck.
All three new trucks are already in use and are scheduled to serve Sioux City until the year 2040.
