Seminole FL Gets New Fire Apparatus

Seminole Fire Rescue (FL) is getting a truck that’s part of a new generation of green fire apparatus that leaves a very small carbon footprint.

The 2013 Pierce Impel will be put into service February 1 after crews learn about the truck.

Engine 29 will respond as an advanced life support unit with firemedics and EMTs.

Equipped with a compliment of ALS and fire equipment, the new truck can pump water from a 500-gallon water tank foam from a 40-gallon foam tank. It features LED lighting, a computer terminal for receiving incident information and state-of the-art technology that will permit firefighters to respond efficiently to scene situations.
