Salem (MA) Readies New Fire Apparatus

The Salem Fire Department’s new $1.1 million fire apparatus will soon be fitted with all the tools local firefighters will need to battle fires in the Witch City, Fire Chief David Cody.

The new truck will be ready for service sometime in October, Cody said, and firefighters will begin training with the truck under the guidance of representative of Pierce Manufacturing, the company that assembled the apparatus, in the coming weeks.
