Buffalo (NY) FD Rescue Truck Hits Guard Rail, Tree Due to Icy Road

A Buffalo Fire Department rescue truck encountered black ice and struck a guard rail and a tree Tuesday, Jan. 13, according to a Facebook post on Buffalo Fire Department-Helmets & Hose Wagons.

No one was injured in the accident, the post said.

The rescue truck was responding to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment involving a Buffalo Police Department cruiser. The police department vehicle was struck by a car at Clinton and Elm Streets, according to the post.

While the rescue truck was en route to the scene it encountered black ice at Jefferson and BFNC Drive.
