RealView CommandScope Completes FEMA Adherence

Evaluation Process Tests For Adherence To Technical Standards, Concepts And Principals

Chicago, Ill. – June 2, 2011 –
RealView LLC, a Microsoft® Partner providing mobile inspection and emergency pre-plan programs for office buildings, fire departments, hospitality, education and others, announced today it has completed FEMA’s NIMS STEP. RealView’s CommandScope Fire/Emergency Pre-plan Solution has successfully tested for adherence to NIMS technical standards, concepts and principles, including emergency support, hazards, communication and information management, resource management, and command and management.

Established by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the National Incident Management System (NIMS) provides a consistent, nationwide template for local, tribal and state government and emergency responders to effectively manage emergencies and planned events. The NIMS Supporting Technology Evaluation Program (NIMS STEP) evaluates products, devices, systems and data management tools – including off the shelf hardware and software – that support emergency managers and responders in decision making prior to, and during, emergency operations.

CommandScope is a pre-incident planning software that assures less property damage and saves lives in the event of an incident. Designed to combat these incidents with advance strategy and actionable information, the CommandScope Programs provide first responders with an electronic pre-plan vital for a more effective emergency response. It delivers intelligence on spectrum of elements including building construction, fire protection systems, utility shut-offs, contact information, floor plans, hazardous materials, disabled persons, aerial photos, fire hydrant locations and more. CommandScope successfully completed the objective evaluation process by a team of NIMS STEP engineers, a full report of which is now available by contacting RealView.

“RealView is proud to be recognized by industry experts in the field of emergency management/response,” says Stephen Nardi, President RealView. “With NIMS STEP’s objective evaluation returned successful, our customers can now be even more confident trusting CommandScope to keep citizens and buildings safe.”
