The Western Reserve Joint Fire District (WRJFD) in Poland, Ohio, recently welcomed a new 2025 Sutphen pumper, the department said in a Facebook post.

The new rig has a 1,500 gallon-per-minute (gpm) pump and carries 1,000 gallons of water.

Much of the equipment was mounted by FMI prior to arrival. The department members will spend the coming week getting the engine in service. Training will then follow.

This vehicle took three years to build and replaces a 1997 Sutphen engine.

“This purchase could not have occurred without the generosity and financial support of our community,” the post said.

WRJFD handles fire and EMS operations for both Poland Township and Poland Village. Because these are two separate municipalities, the department is formally called the Western Reserve Joint Fire District.
