Vineland Donates Fire Truck

Vineland has donated a pumper truck to Cumberland County’s fire and rescue training center.

The city last month approved selling a retired Vineland Fire Department engine for $1 to the county, which will use the vehicle at the Ronald D. Martinelli Fire & Rescue Training Center.

The pumper will replace one now on loan from Port Norris Fire Company. The center traditionally has used loaned equipment for years, but the county has moved toward owning as much training equipment as possible to avoid facing expensive repair bills.
