Seymour (MO) Firefighters Add Apparatus to Fleet

Firefighters in Seymour, MO, recently bought a ladder truck and a four-door rescue pumper for about $100,000, according to television station KY3.

The trucks join the fleet with the Southern Webster County Fire Protection District, the station reported.

Firefighters were able to make the purchase using taxpayer funds, but they did not have to increase taxes, according to fire officials.

It’s hoped the apparatus will lower the community’s ISO rating which is currently a 6/7, the television station reported.
