A Ravenswood Volunteer Fire Department pumper was in a rollover wreck in Jackson County, West Virginia, Thursday, Feb. 6, wtap.com reported.
A Silverton Volunteer Fire Department fire official said his department responded to a call about a structure fire Thursday morning and that Ravenswood VFD responded to help, the report said.
While en route, the Ravenswood VFD pumper slipped and left the roadway on Independence Road in Sandyville, which was slick due to rain, according to the report. The saturated ground beside the road made the rig sink into the mud and continue to slide until it landed on its side.
Three firefighters were in the pumper, the fire official said. One was taken to Camden Clark while the other two were taken to Jackson General Hospital. All were admitted with non life-threatening injuries.
Silverton VFD, Ravenswood VFD, Ripley VFD, the Jackson County Sheriff, Camden Clark Ambulance Services, and Red Barn Wrecker Service all responded to the scene.
