The Lake Villa (IL) Fire Protection District recently purchased its second Pierce Arrow XT. Engine 244 is a 2013 Pierce Arrow XT, featuring a 1,500-gpm pump and a 1,000-gallon tank. It will replace the current Engine 244, a 1989 Mack CF/1990 Pierce with a 1,500-gpm pump and 650-gallon water tank. The new engine runs out of newly opened Station 4. The Mack will be sold soon.
