The Little Bay Fire Department has purchased a 17-year-old fire department, reports CBC.
The fire department posted on Facebook, “Brokered through Central Technical Services by Tom Coffey – exceptional service! It’s been a long time in the making and we couldn’t have done it without all of your support along the way – We can’t thank you all enough!! We’ll be showing her off by having a motorcade through all of our service areas on Saturday (Oct. 31) at 11AM – come check it out at our fire hall afterwards, complete with burger/hot dog refreshments.”
Little Bay hosted a fundraiser last year to raise money to help cover the cost of a new truck, while awaiting funding from the provincial government to cover most of the cost.
Little Bay previously used this 1983 Chevrolet pickup truck as its only fire truck. The department serves about 300 homes in the Green Bay region.
