The Garland, Utah, community joined the Garland Fire Department recently for a traditional “push-in” ceremony to officially enter its new Rosenbauer pumper into service, hjnews.com reported.
The pumper has a lighter water tank and greater versatility than the previous engine, according to a Garland fire official, the report said.
The 2024 Rosenbauer engine came in at about $600,000, the fire official said. It is replacing an engine the department has been using for 27 years.
The new Rosenbauer is officially in service and will be the first vehicle dispatched when Garland Fire gets a call, according to the report.
