A Chicago Fire Department pumper slammed into a food pantry located inside a church on the South Side, cbsnews.com reported.
The accident happened Friday, Feb. 14, at West 103rd Street and South Morgan Street.
Initial reports say the brakes failed as the emergency vehicle was responding to a call, the report said. Surveillance video shows the engine avoiding a pole and a traffic light box and then crashing into the building.
Two firefighters were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the report said.
